DIY Whipped Body Butter Recipe:

Ingredients:

3 Tbs. Shea Butter

1 Tbs. Coconut Oil

1 1/2 tsp. Sunflower Oil

3/4 tsp. Avocado Oil

2 tsp. Corn Starch or Arrowroot Powder

Yield Approximately 4oz.

Notes:

-You may substitute 2 1/4 tsp. extra virgin olive oil in place of the sunflower and avocado oils if you don’t have both oils on-hand.

-Adding corn starch or arrowroot powder gives this cream a silky powder finish upon contact with skin, and keeps it from being too greasy.

 

Directions:

-Combine Shea Butter and Oils in a medium size bowl.

-Fold oils and shea butter together by hand to blend, softening the shea butter, then whip together on a medium-high setting using a hand mixer.

-Add corn starch or arrowroot powder, combine using hand mixer on a low setting until blended.

-Transfer to your jar of choice, use within 6 months.
